Subject: unfair bank charges

Have sent letters to all my banks after seeing your site.
i got a response within days from capital one saying they would reduce the charges to £12 and refund me the difference, that being £56. Barclaycard gave a full refund of £80 within 4 days of letter 1. Monument sent a letter within 7 days saying that they would refund half £120 and that if i didnt accept they would terminate my account so all balance of credit card would be due.
i emailed barclays bank via their email complains and recieved a reply within 10 mins saying they would pass it on to their complaints manager and gave me a tracking complaint number.

alliance and leicester are the only ones not budging. prob because they owe me nearly £1000 in charges. They sent me quite a nasty letter saying that letter 1 actually refers to credit cards and not banks and that they were well within their rights to charge me. i have sent them letter 2 and will definatley go as far as court as they charged me for going 10p over. then they charge u another fee when their first fee makes me overdrawn.

about time we took a stand
